The years 2016–2019 were my 3 long years of struggle. The days when I practiced “the show must go on” and I have to wake up, show up, and motivate myself to never give up. It’s when I smile while my heart cried and I try to give my best every day while questioning if I’m still the best version of myself.

I miscarried in 2016 and 2018 when we were so eager to have a daughter. It also coincided with some struggles at work and office politics which almost got my sanity.

In times like that, reading, writing, and journalling would help. Now, as I declutter my things and begin to dispose of old journals, I was surprised that I have written these:

Remember, that you can’t have all the good things in the world. You may have most of the nice things but you can’t have it all. Be grateful for what you have.

Don’t let happiness be subject to conditions. Why subject your happiness to a future event? Just be happy today, period. (Though now I believe that it’s ok not to be happy all the time. We have to go though emotions and savor each one. Cry if we must and the memory of pain will help us appreciate life when we finally survived the storm)

And my favorite which I have copied in my journal today:

Don’t wish for problems to disappear. Life is just a series of problems. They come and go. Solve one problem and another one appears. Remember that all will be well in the end, so when not all is well, it is not yet your end.

Hi friends! Thanks for reading my Facebook-like posts. I’ve had difficulty writing these days. It’s really hard to come back after a writing slump. It’s hard to write but not hard to read, so keep writing and I’ll read. :)
